Brian Burke hosts “Ducks on the Deck” in Saint John 
Event to raise funds for DUC habitat conservation
Saint John, NB., August 16, 2010 – Ducks Unlimited Canada is proud to announce an exciting “Ducks on the Deck” event at the Saint John Ale House in Saint John, New Brunswick, on September 16, 2010.
Hosted by Brian Burke, Toronto Maple Leafs President and GM, the event is open to the public, and will feature raffles and a silent auction of exclusive DUC merchandise. A dollar from every Moose Light sold that day will be donated to DUC.
Peter J. Stoddart, owner of the Saint John Ale House, is hoping this event will encourage others to support DUC’s efforts, like he has. “I wanted to give back to my community. I am an avid waterfowler, nature lover and outdoorsmen. I decided to make a major gift commitment to Ducks Unlimited Canada because I consider wetlands to be very important. Simply put, they are the kidneys of the Earth and vital to our planet’s health. Without Ducks Unlimited Canada, who else would educate us and our children about the importance of saving our wetlands. I am proud to be a major gift supporter and encourage everyone to do so. “
