Who We Are – Wetland and Wildlife Conservation at Work 
Wherever you find Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC), you’ll find wetland conservation hard at work. DUC is Canada’s Conservation Company.
From volunteers at DUC fundraisers to landowners working to conserve habitat to scientists knee-deep in environmental and wetland research, wetland conservation is what DUC is all about.
This commitment to conservation means different things to different people:
- DUC members have the opportunity to give back to nature by supporting conservation.
- DUC’s fun-filled and action-packed fundraising events bring together people from all walks of life. These events provide volunteer opportunities to support DUC and conservation—and have lots of fun doing it.
- DUC works hand-in-hand with landowners to make land-use more sustainable and profitable.
- DUC conserves wetlands and associated habitats through charitable donations and long-term or permanent land-use agreements.
- DUC educates Canadians about the value of wetlands and conservation. Part of this effort involves providing free lesson plans and environmental education resources for teachers.
DUC’s scientists conduct wetland and environmental research that guides conservation work and increases credibility.- DUC is active in every province and territory in Canada. You’ve probably seen the familiar “duck head” logo on a DUC project near your community.
