Conservation Leaders
Recognizing individuals and groups dedicated to wetland conservation in Canada.
With more than 70 years of experience, Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC) understands the hard work and vision that goes into wetland conservation. DUC offers programs and awards to recognize individuals or groups who are dedicated to conserving Canada’s wetlands.
North American Waterfowl Conservation Honour Roll
Ducks Unlimited Canada created the North American Waterfowl Conservation Honour Roll to recognize our continent’s visionary wetland and waterfowl conservation leaders.
This is an annual national award recognizing those waterfowl resources professionals who have made unique and measurable contributions to the success of the North American Waterfowl Management Plan (NAWMP) in Canada.
Lieutenant Governor’s Greenwing Conservation Awards
The provincial Lieutenant Governor’s Greenwing Conservation Award recognizes individuals or groups who work to conserve and protect wetland habitats in their home provinces. The goal is to have this distinction awarded annually in each province.
Any individual or group that has demonstrated leadership in a project or activity that contributed to the public awareness of wetland conservation in their province, and/or any individual or group that has demonstrated outstanding volunteer service in assisting organizations that benefit wetland conservation is eligible to apply.
