Conservation Partnerships

Conservation partnerships are an integral component of the DUC conservation program in British Columbia. Partnerships create an efficient and effective use of resources that allow these resources to be leveraged to deliver projects that could not be delivered by an individual agency.

Our partners include government, non-government, conservation agencies, industry, landowners, agricultural producers and other conservation organizations to ensure wetland habitats remain a part of BC’s landscape.

Canadian Intermountain Joint Venture

The CIJV represents a formal, coordinated effort by multiple partners to conserve habitat for waterfowl and other birds in the Canadian Intermountain region

Pacific Coast Joint Venture

Prairie Habitat Joint Venture

Habitat programs delivered in the BC Peace are administered within the Prairie Habitat Joint Venture, the largest habitat implementation plan under the North American Waterfowl Management Plan (NAWMP).
