Peace Parkland Region
Duck Unlimited Canada actively works in the BC Peace River region, developing and delivering land stewardship programs designed for the Peace Parkland. Provided through a partnership of agricultural and conservation agencies, under the Prairie Habitat Joint Venture, the program promotes agricultural practices which work for both landowners and the environment.
Ducks Unlimited Canada provides advice and assistance to landowners interested in conserving soil, native vegetation and water resources. The results include increased economic returns, better forage production, and improved herd health to the producer. Programs are also delivering better water quality and more abundant water supplies for downstream users and improved habitat for a wide range of wildlife. The Peace area is home to BC’s largest breeding population of Trumpeter Swans.
