Projects
Every DUC Project has as its goal to identify, protect, restore, and manage priority habitats within BC’s landscape for the benefit of North American waterfowl, wildlife, and community.
DUC works closely with municipal, provincial, and federal levels of governments, a diversity of landowners and non-governmental organizations to establish conservation/stewardship agreements, land acquisitions, and governmental land extensions that conserve wetlands and their associated habitats. All DUC wetland projects are completed in partnership.
DUC uses various conservation tools to restore and manage these unique and important habitats. DUC projects are dispersed within the three conservation target areas of BC.
Not all BC DUC projects are featured in these sections. To get an overview of all 520 projects in BC, please view our Provincial Summary.
