Projects
The goal of every DUC Project is to identify, protect, restore, and manage priority habitats within NS’s landscape for the benefit of North American waterfowl, wildlife and community.
DUC relies on partnerships to achieve its conservation goals. Working closely with municipal, provincial and federal levels of governments, landowners and non-government organizations, DUC establishes conservation/stewardship agreements, land acquisitions, and governmental land extensions that conserve wetlands and their associated habitats.
A variety of conservation tools are used to restore and manage these unique and important habitats located throughout NS’s coastal, agriculture and forest landscapes.
