Cornell Media Services has produced a Video entitled "Restoring the Balance; Biological
Control of Purple Loosestrife." The 25 minute video reviews the history of the purple
loosestrife invasion and its ecological impact, defines the concept of biological control,
describes management practices and reasons for biological control, discusses mass rearing
techniques for biocontrol insects and highlights the importance of restoring a more natural
balance in North American wetland plant communities. The video can be ordered from
Cornell Media Services (607-255-2090) for $27.95.
