Resources for teaching English literacy
These engaging lessons stimulate a child’s natural curiosity and offer students the chance to develop literacy skills while they learn about the natural world. Many lessons draw upon their own experiences, allowing them to share these with other students and, in the process, helping them to develop their own language skills. This unit finishes with ideas for planning a trip to a local wetland and with action projects that ELL students can undertake in their own communities.
Through the generous support of our sponsors, DUC is able to provide additional resources and even free field trips to hundreds of classes every year.
