LOOKING FOR A GREAT BIRDING AREA?

Visitors will enjoy watching Great Blue herons, songbirds and Osprey. This is a great area to view Bald Eagles and a Peregrine Falcon was spotted there in August of 1998!This wetland provides a fantastic opportunity to view staging waterfowl in the fall, with an average over 1000 ducks in the marsh.

The George Slipp Greenwing Legacy Marsh joins up with two other wetland projects, Larry’s Marsh (10 acres) and Palmer’s Creek (42 acres). All three areas are closed to hunting, but are open to the public for birding and general wildlife viewing.

This project is dedicated to Greenwing Legacies - lifelong Ducks Unlimited members and our future conservationists.
