New book caps decade of research
The completion of the Marsh Ecology Research Program (MERP) in the summer of 2000 resulted in a book titled Prairie Wetland Ecology: the Contribution of the Marsh Ecology Research Program.
DU appoints new specialist in boreal waterfowl ecology
Ducks Unlimited is pleased to announce that Dr. Stuart Slattery has been appointed as the new research scientist specializing in boreal waterfowl ecology at the Institute for Wetland and Waterfowl Research.
Freshwater Initiative raising money and awareness in 2001
Good quality water in North America is becoming a precious resource. In 1998, Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC) and Institute for Wetland and Waterfowl Research (IWWR) started the Freshwater Initiative to pull together the best and brightest researchers from universities, governments and other nonprofit organizations to perform research on the link between wetlands and water quality.
