Frequently Asked Questions

Anyone wishing to participate in our Online Auction must first obtain a user ID and password link to Auction ID page to use when bidding. (Note: this procedure only needs to be completed once).

Bidders must be 18 years of age or older to participate in the auction. When you place a bid, you are agreeing to pay for the item if you’re the winning bidder. Bidders are expected to honour all winning bids.

All auction items require the bidder’s user ID code, password and bid. Each increase in bidding must meet or exceed the minimum bid increment. The minimum bid increment may not apply when a bidder has placed a maximum bid.

The minimum bid increment is shown on the bid page, above where you enter your bid.

When placing a Bid on an Item in the auction, you can specify a maximum bid that you would be willing to bid on an item. Then let us do the rest. We will always increase the previous bid by the bid increment for you, as long as the previous bid plus the bid increment does not exceed your maximum bid. The only way you can be outbid on an item is if somebody places a bid higher than your maximum bid.

Auction Item Bidding Activity
High Bid: $130.00
Bid Increment: $10.00
Bob places a bid of $140.00, with a Maximum of $160.00
What Happens?

The High Bid is now $160.00, and belongs to John, since his Maximum Bid was placed first.

If Bob’s Maximum bid had been $161.00 then Bob would be the high bidder, even though Bob did not satisfy the minimum Bid Increment of $10.00.

Closing bids are determined on the bidding close date, which is indicated on the right-hand side of the item list.
