The Opportunity

Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC), one of Canada’s leading conservation organizations is looking for a smart and dynamic Administrative Assistant to join our team.

The Administrative Assistant will perform a full range of administrative and financial duties that will support the QC Leadership Team, including but not limited to:

  • processing invoices, PO’s, and journal entries
  • assisting with financial analysis and reporting
  • contract and project administration including monitoring projects revenues, expenditures, and funding agreements
  • assisting the HR Liaison with administrative tasks
  • ensuring the timely, accurate and effective entry of information in the financial and land management systems (such as invoicing, project data management, acres, journal entries, etc.)
  • data entry, scanning & filing

You are a self-motivated individual with a positive, “can do” attitude, who thrives in a fast-paced environment.   You are a team player with strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills will make you a great asset to our team.

You exercise strong initiative and sound judgment in handling routine and confidential materials.  You are an energetic collaborator who believes in delivering the best customer service possible and you must be able to cultivate solid relationships with many people.

Your minimum three years administrative experience will make you the ideal candidate for this full time position, which is based in our office in Quebec, QC.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-years of directly related financial administration experience
  • Hold a college diploma (DEC) in administration, financial services or related discipline with 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in both English and French
  • Strong administration skills: experience in basic accounts payable and receivable is considered an asset.
  • Above average proficiency in Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
  • Adaptable to change and capable of prioritizing in a fast-paced environment with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail
  • Previous experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a definite asset.
  • Having a passion for conservation, the environment or the outdoors would be a definite asset; experience in the non-profit and/or environmental conservation sectors would also be an asset.
