Administrative Assistant – Manitoba Fundraising Team

The Opportunity

Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC) is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic administrator to join our Manitoba Fundraising team.
The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for:

  •  providing support, training, trouble-shooting and excellent customer service to volunteers
  •  ensuring volunteers are equipped with the proper knowledge and tools to host their fundraising initiatives
  •  processing revenue transactions, including tax receipting
  •  ordering, creating and distributing event support materials
  •  ensuring staff and volunteers are following applicable provincial gaming branch regulations
  •  tracking volunteer hours and assisting with volunteer stewardship
  •  assisting with the recruitment and retention of volunteers

You are a self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You are a team player who believes in delivering the best customer service, enjoys helping others and is always looking for the next thing to do.
Working with staff and volunteers, you must be able to cultivate solid relationships with many people. Your strong initiative and positive, “can-do” attitude will make you a great asset to our team.
Your minimum 3-years administrative experience will make you the ideal candidate for this position, which is be based from our dog-friendly national headquarters at Oak Hammock Marsh (just north of Winnipeg, MB).


  • Certificate/diploma in office administration, business administration or related field
  • Excellent internal/external customer service with strong oral and written communication skills
  • Social media skills; ability to create and post engaging content on a variety of platforms
  • Strong administration and basic accounting skills
  • Above average proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive & Outlook
  • Detail-oriented, organized, able to prioritize and strong problem-solving skills
  • Current or previous volunteer experience with DUC would also be considered an asset

The successful candidate will also have an affinity to the outdoors, conservation and the world of waterfowl.
