The Opportunity
Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC), a leader in Canadian habitat conservation, is seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual to fill an entry level Maintenance Technician position at Oak Hammock Marsh, near Stonewall, Manitoba.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Grounds maintenance (all seasons)
- Building maintenance
- Setting up for events.
- Minor service and repair of equipment
- Special Maintenance Projects
Additional Details:
- The Candidate will be required to become a Water and Wastewater operator. Costs for this apprenticeship will be covered by Ducks Unlimited Canada.
- This position involves physical work and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Candidate must be willing to work some weekends and have flexibility with the hours of work.
- Starting wage is $16.00/hr.
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 education
- 1-2 years related experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with others in teams as well as with little supervision
- Valid driver’s license
- The successful candidate will be required to submit proof of COVID-19 Vaccination
