Maintenance Technician (Part-Time)

The Opportunity

Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC), a leader in Canadian habitat conservation, is seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual to fill an entry level Maintenance Technician position at Oak Hammock Marsh, near Stonewall, Manitoba.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Grounds maintenance (all seasons)
• Building maintenance
• Setting up for events.
• Minor service and repair of equipment
• Special Maintenance Projects

Additional Details:

• The Candidate will be required to become a Water and Wastewater operator. Costs for this apprenticeship will be covered by Ducks Unlimited Canada.
• This position involves physical work and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Candidate must be willing to work some weekends and have flexibility with the hours of work.
• Starting wage is $16.00/hr.

Requirements

• Minimum Grade 12 education
• 1-2 years related experience
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with others in teams as well as with little supervision
• Valid driver’s license
• The successful candidate will be required to submit proof of COVID-19 Vaccination
