Manager of Provincial Operations – Ontario

Reporting to the Director of Regional Operations, East and British Columbia, the Ontario Manager of Provincial Operations (“MPO”) will play a critical role in driving DUC’s mission forward, ensuring DUC’s continued leadership as Ontario’s preeminent conservation organization. The most senior member of the Ontario region, the MPO translates DUC’s national goals and processes into strategic and operational plans appropriate for the regional context. With a clear vision for Ontario, the MPO leads the team in developing annual goals, supporting existing conservation programs and delivering new, innovative revenue-generating initiatives. As the primary face of Ducks Unlimited in Ontario, the MPO builds strong relationships with senior government officials, business leaders, ENGO partners, landowners, volunteers, the media and the general public. Continually aware of evolving and new opportunities, the MPO pursues new partnership growth, particularly in the fee-for-services sustainability sector.

Passion for the environment and its conservation is core to the MPO’s belief system. A collaborative, empathetic people leader with strong interpersonal and communications skills, the MPO brings 8+ years of progressive leadership with program delivery, revenue generation and partnership development in the non-profit, public or private sectors. An undergraduate degree in conservation or a related discipline and experience with government relations at provincial, regional and/or local levels, federated models, human resources and/or fundraising are valuable assets.
