Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC), one of Canada’s leading conservation organizations, is searching for a uniquely talented and creative Talent Attraction Specialist.

The Talent Attraction Specialist will be in charge of creating and initiating the overarching internal recruitment strategy for the organization on a national level! On a role-by-role basis, you will work closely with hiring managers to ensure that DUC is targeting and attracting top talent for the organization. You will start by collaborating with the hiring manager to determine the business needs and then develop and provide them with tools and templates such as impactful interview and reference check questions. You will write, edit, and distribute job postings across social media platforms and strategic job boards. Once candidates have been screened and interviewed by the hiring managers, you will coordinate candidate assessments, present assessment feedback to the hiring managers, and assist with the creation of job offers, etc.
When not working on individual recruitment projects, the Talent Attraction Specialist will be focusing on the long-term recruitment strategy of the organization. You will build brand awareness with outreach marketing, and track overall metrics in order to monitor progress and further improve processes. You are a true professional and have the initiative to make changes, as well as the ability to communicate change and develop process documentation. In this role, you must enjoy staying on top of best practices and industry trends to ensure that recruitment efforts always stay fresh! Working with DUC, your ability to meet deadlines as well as to work creatively with colleagues and leaders in a high-performance culture is essential.
Finally, the Talent Attraction Specialist will have a healthy appreciation of the nuances of not-for-profit conservation work on a national scale. A genuine affinity for the outdoors and the lifestyles associated with it will allow you to better understand DUC’s culture and thrive in their organization.
Experience & Qualifications
- Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business or other relevant field
- Demonstrable experience in outreach and recruitment strategies
- Experience in full-cycle recruitment
- Exceptional communications skills, both verbal and written
- High level of proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
- Highly ethical, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
- Solid comprehension of database software Basic understanding of business structures and protocols
