Accessing Ducks Unlimited Canada Properties

Ducks Unlimited Canada acknowledges, respects, and supports the rights of Indigenous Peoples and will support Indigenous subsistence harvesting when and where possible. All those accessing Ducks Unlimited Canada lands must be respectful of the land by cleaning up after themselves and being cognizant and respectful of fellow users. Hunters are reminded that some of these properties have public trails on them and must ensure the safety of all users. Please note that not all Ducks Unlimited Canada projects are the sole property of Ducks Unlimited Canada. Where a Ducks Unlimited Canada project is a partnership with a private landowner (such as in conservation agreements or easements), the user must seek permission via Ducks Unlimited Canada.

As part of ongoing habitat management, users should be aware of the potential for operations on the property such as haying or grazing. Please leave gates as you found them, do not destroy crops and do not hunt if animals are grazing. Also, there may be Ducks Unlimited Canada staff and contractors working on the property.

Permanent blinds or structures are prohibited on Ducks Unlimited Canada-owned projects. All portable blinds and stands must be clearly marked with the name and phone number of the owner.

In addition, visitors are asked to be careful not to leave any trace of their passage, and therefore, to pick up all their garbage.

Trapping of furbearing animals is allowed on some Ducks Unlimited Canada lands. Trappers require a valid fur trapping license and must follow all the regulations outlined in the hunting and trapping regulations synopsis found on the Government of British Columbia website.
