Wetland Field Trip – Virtual tour – $120
Discover the wonders of wetlands through a virtual tour! Learn about wetlands, the plants and animals that live there, why are they important, why they are at risk and what you can do to help.

- Virtual field trips have been adapted to three regions to better reflect Canada’s geographic diversity.

Critter dipping – Presentation – $120
Wetlands are full of creepy crawlies! Let’s explore them together and learn about the wonders of the invertebrate life cycle. With the help of close-up videos and interpreter cues, your students will learn how to identify wetland invertebrates and describe the stages of the invertebrate life cycle. Identification keys are sent to your class prior to the workshop to share with students.

Note: If your students loved the virtual wetland field trip, this is a great complementary workshop. Students get the chance to explore what makes wetlands special and discover the critters that live there.

What’s for dinner? Presentation – $120
Discover the fascinating worlds of owls in the “What’s for dinner?” workshop. How are owls different than other birds? How do they catch their prey? In this presentation students will learn about the adaptations that allow owls to be successful hunters. With the help of the digital microscope, students will dissect an owl pellet and identify the bones to discover the owl’s prey. Expect lots of “awws” and “ewwws!”

Marshwalk – Presentation – $120
Take a walk around a marsh! In this program, your interpreter will share their knowledge about the plants that you can find and which animals use them for food and/or shelter.Grades 7 and up have the option to play kahoot.

Wetlands our Climate Champions Wetlands to the Rescue! – Presentation – 120$
Discover how wetlands work overtime to limit climate change in our newest virtual program. Your students will learn the causes and consequences of climate change in Canada, how wetlands play a role in reversing the negative effects and what young people can do to stay motivated and make a difference. The presentation wraps up with a game of kahoot to review the key learning outcomes!
