Ride to the Lake returns July 17 for milestone 10th anniversary ride

What to expect at Ride to the Lake 2026

This year’s ride will take riders from Winnipeg, Man. toward Kenora, Ont., with a finish at Whitecap Pavilion. Along the way, participants will experience a route that has helped define Ride to the Lake over the years, moving from prairie landscapes to the rugged beauty of the Canadian Shield, dotted by the lakes as you enter the Lake of the Woods. It is a setting that reminds riders exactly what is at stake. Wetlands are part of what makes these landscapes so valuable, helping keep water clean and supporting healthy, resilient communities.

The 2026 RTTL is designed to welcome a range of riders. Participants can choose from four ride options, including The Grand 220 km, The Century Plus 125 km, and The Short Spin 50 km. Riders under 30 can also sign up and choose the distance that best suits their goals from 220 km, 125 km and 50 km.

Training plans are available to help participants prepare, and fundraising incentives add another layer of motivation. Ride kits are being custom crafted by Canadian company Jakroo. (For help with sizing, please check out their size charts.)

Morning bus transportation is also available for Century Plus and Short Spin participants, with return transportation to Winnipeg planned for the evening.

Since its inception in 2016, RTTL has raised more than $2 million in support of DUC’s wetland conservation work. It is a powerful example of people turning personal passion into conservation impact. When you participate in Ride to the Lake, you are joining a community that believes conservation matters and is willing to put in the effort to make a difference.
