Cranbrook Ducks & Trucks
August 17, 2019 – Cranbrook , BC
Ducks Unlimited Canada has been developing wetlands in the Kootenays for more than 50 years. This summer, with the help of Alpine Toyota, we’re going down a new road to help fuel our conservation efforts.
The inaugural Ducks in Trucks fundraiser will support Ducks Unlimited Canada’s (DUC) wetland conservation work in the region. Join us on August 17 for a fun and informative treasure hunt starting at Elizabeth Lake in Cranbrook, B.C. and ending at Alpine Toyota with prizes, food and fun.
“Ducks Unlimited has done tremendous conservation work in our area for many years. The continued work of Ducks Unlimited is paramount in conserving the wetlands of the East Kootenay” says co chair Mark Hall. “This fun-filled day will tour some of the best wetland projects Ducks Unlimited has to offer.”
Ducks in Trucks is a treasure hunt where participants will visit some of the region’s wetlands restored by Ducks Unlimited and will earn duck-bucks by finishing a challenge, taking selfies, and locating hidden treasures along the way. Duck-bucks can then be redeemed at the after-party at Alpine Toyota for prizes.
The best part of the fundraiser is there is no minimum donation required to join. All you need is your enthusiasm for conserving the region’s wetlands, water, and wildlife for future generations.
Ducks Unlimited Canada has a goal to raise $25,000; with your help we can make it happen. Participants are encouraged to make a personal donation or have friends and family join the hunt as supporters. The more you raise, the more duck-bucks you get towards prizes and fun helping Ducks Unlimited Canada continue its mission to protect and conserve wetlands.
Ducks Unlimited Canada and Alpine Toyota are looking forward to seeing you this summer at Ducks in Trucks.
